KAGUM HOTELS COVID-19 PREVENTION AND SAFETY MEASURES

In KAGUM Hotels, the safety and comfort of our guests and staff are our topmost priorities especially during the new normal era brought about by the widespread of COVID-19 events in Indonesia. Here is how we are dealing with COVID-19 in our Hotels/properties.

CHSE Certification

CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental sustainability) certification is a process by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif) of the Indonesian Republic to measure the readiness of businesses in the Hospitality industry in ensuring that they are capable of creating a safe and secure environment for their guests and staff during the widespread of COVID-19 in Indonesia.

KAGUM Hotels has pursued for and received CHSE Certifications for many of our Hotels/properties and will actively continue to seek more approvals for the ones that have yet to receive it. The receiving of CHSE Certification is proof that KAGUM Hotels is putting a heavy emphasis in our COVID-19 prevention and safety measures and we are striving to continue doing so for however long it is necessary.

For Our Staff

The following is our guidelines on how staff should operate:

  • Preventive procedures such as temperature check are mandatory for staff before they are allowed to work in the premises of our Hotels/properties.
  • They are required to wear protective gear such as masks, face shields, gloves, etc, during their working hours. They are also instructed to regularly use hand-sanitizers to ensure cleanliness at all times, in particular before and after any possible point of contact with guests.
  • They are required to always clean and disinfect all the tools and equipments used for their work on regular intervals.
  • Social distancing measures are always to be adhered to for all interactions with guests and also fellow co-workers, with physical interactions to be performed only when it is absolutely necessary.
  • Any staff showing possible symptoms of sickness is required to report his/her situation immediately and take time off from work in order to monitor their health situation.

For Our Guests

The following is to be observed by all our guests/anyone visiting our premises:

  • All guests are subject to mandatory temperature-check before they can enter.
  • Our staff reserves the right to clean and sanitize all the belongings and/or luggage carried by the guests to the premises of our Hotels/properties.
  • Check-in process will be completed with the minimum amount of contact possible, and there is always a hand-sanitizing facility nearby where we encourage guests to sanitize their hands after the check-in is completed.
  • All the public spaces of our Hotels/properties are mandatory mask-wearing areas, and as such guests are required to wear protective mask at all times in these areas.
  • Hand sanitizing facilities are available in various public areas of our Hotels/properties, and guests are always encouraged to use them regularly.
  • Guests are encouraged to always keep social distancing measures in mind at all times. We will put various announcements in public spaces to remind guests to observe this rule whenever necessary.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to any guest unwilling to comply with the COVID-19 procedures that we employ in our Hotels/properties. We also reserve the right to eject guests that violate the procedures after they have been admitted to our Hotels/properties

For Our Guest Rooms

The following is the procedures related to the handling of our Hotel guest rooms in times of COVID-19.

  • All the guest rooms are subject to mandatory cleaning and disinfection before and after being served as accommodations for guests.
  • The immediate areas surrounding the guest rooms, such as balconies (where available), corridors, and hallways are also subject to periodic cleaning and disinfection.
  • Hotlines are available for any guests requiring assistance during their stay, including for any particular issue regarding COVID-19 safety protocols.

For Our Events

Our Hotels/properties are still accepting events such as meetings, gatherings, weddings, etc, but certain rules/procedures are to be observed:

  • The maximum capacity for any event in any venue will not be at 100%. KAGUM Hotels will follow the rules and regulations imposed by the local government related to the maximum capacity of people allowed in public events (e.g. 50%, 30%, etc)
  • All events are required to follow proper COVID-19 protocols such as mandatory facemasks, temperature checking, availability of hand sanitizers, social distancing, etc. The COVID-19 protocols are enforced both for our staff and our guests during these events.

For Our Hotel Facilities (restaurants, swimming pool, gym, etc)

Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, there may be occasions where KAGUM Hotels is required to close and/or limit the usage of various facilities in our Hotels/properties. This may vary between one Hotel/property to the next, so confirmation to the Hotel/property of your choosing before staying is recommended.

  • Only a certain number of people are allowed in any given time in our facilities to ensure adequate social distancing as required in our COVID-19 safety protocol.
  • All of our facilities are categorized as public spaces and as such mandatory facemask rule is in effect. Guests are also heavily encouraged to use additional protective gear such as gloves.
  • Social distancing policies (1-2 meters distance at the minimum in-between people) will be enforced.
  • We provide hand-sanitizing stations in various strategic locations in our facilities and guests are encouraged to use them as necessary, including before entering our facilities and when exiting them.
  • We regularly clean and disinfect all our facilities, especially for high-touch/high-contact areas such as door handles, gym equipment, buffet trays, etc.
  • We provide a specifically designated bin for guests to dispose their personal effects such as towels to be laundered, cleaned, and disinfected as necessary.    

For When Guests Are Showing Symptoms for COVID-19

In the event that there are guest(s) in our Hotels/property showing signs of symptoms for COVID-19, the following is to be observed:

  • Guests who develop symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, dry cough, or signs of tiredness or lethargy are heavily encouraged to contact our staff for assistance.
  • Our Hotel/property will provide assistance in contacting local health authorities, create isolation for the guest in question, and provide necessary protective gear such as medial masks.
  • Our Hotel/property will also help arrange transportation to the nearest medical facility so the guest can receive adequate assistance for their conditions.
  • We will conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection in the guest rooms where the guest is staying as well as all the facilities and areas inside the Hotel.
